Victorian Bi-Color Gold and Three-Stone Bar Brooch with Safety Chain and Stick Pin - An antique Victorian-period bar brooch featuring a complex geometric design. The central element consists of a vertical column set with three clear, round, faceted stones featuring high crowns and large facets characteristic of old mine or old European cuts. This central column is finished at the top and bottom with rose gold-toned cloverleaf motifs and is flanked by two hand-chased yellow gold-toned scrolls. The design is mounted atop three horizontal bars with a granular, sand-textured finish and accented with coiled gold-toned wire. The reverse of the brooch utilizes a horizontal pin with a traditional C-clasp. A fine-link safety chain is attached to the top of the brooch and terminates in a separate stick pin with a spherical head, a security feature common in high-quality nineteenth-century jewelry. A small, impressed mark is visible on the pin stem near the hinge (image 3), though the characters are worn and not legible as a name or specific hallmark. No other maker marks, signatures, or metal purity stamps are present. The brooch head measures approximately 1.125 inches wide by 1.25 inches high. The total assembly, including the safety chain and terminal pin, measures approximately 5 inches in length. The brooch is in good antique condition. Minor surface wear and light tarnish are visible across the gold-toned elements, most notably on the granular textured horizontal bars (images 3 and 4). All three stones appear to be present and securely held within their settings (image 2). The horizontal pin stem shows a slight curve consistent with age and use but remains fully functional within the C-clasp (image 3). The safety chain and terminal stick pin are intact and functional.
