Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Southwestern Style

An Assortment of Southwestern Style Silver and Turquoise Earrings - A collection of matched earrings featuring Southwestern design motifs and turquoise accents. The first set consists of a pair of leaf-form drop earrings crafted in sterling silver. Each earring is set with a central oval-cut blue turquoise cabochon in a smooth bezel, framed by layered, tapered feather or leaf motifs. The reverse of each leaf-form earring bears an impressed mark reading 925. They are fitted with fixed fish-hook ear wires featuring coiled wire accents at the top. The second set is a matched pair of chandelier-style earrings featuring an open horseshoe-shaped frame set with multiple small, round green turquoise cabochons in sawtooth bezels. Seven stones line the frame, with one stone suspended in the center and one additional stone set at the post. This pair is secured with stud posts and yellowed plastic clutch backs. No hallmarks or maker marks are visible on the horseshoe-shaped pair. Weight: 0.145 ozt. Both pairs are in good vintage condition. The sterling silver leaf-form pair shows significant dark tarnish and patina, particularly within the recessed design areas and on the reverse as seen in photo 4 and photo 6. The blue turquoise cabochons appear secure and free of visible damage. The horseshoe chandelier pair exhibits visible tarnish throughout the silver-tone metal frames as shown in photo 3 and photo 5. All green turquoise cabochons are present and appear secure. The plastic earring backs show yellowing consistent with age as seen in photo 5.
