Sterling Silver Southwestern Bear Claw Ring with Turquoise and Coral - A Southwestern style statement ring crafted in sterling silver. The centerpiece is a large, naturally curved bear claw secured within a hand-wrought silver housing featuring an ornate textured cap and a retaining band. Adjacent to the claw is an oval turquoise cabochon of a bright blue hue set in a serrated bezel. Below the turquoise is a rectangular red coral cabochon set in a smooth bezel. The silver work includes decorative elements such as overlapping leaf-like plates, scrolls, and silver beads or raindrops. The wide shank is decorated with deep, radiating stamped lines. The interior of the band features an impressed mark reading STERLING in capital letters. Ring size: US 10 Weight: 0.786 ozt. The ring is in good vintage condition. The silver surfaces exhibit heavy oxidation and tarnishing, particularly within the recessed areas of the ornate design (photo 1). There are scattered surface scratches and minor dings to the band and silver housing consistent with age and use (photo 3). The bear claw shows natural surface texture, minor wear, and slight delamination characteristic of the organic material (photo 2). Both the turquoise and coral cabochons appear secure in their settings. The interior mark is clear and legible (photo 5).
