US 1922-D Peace Silver Dollar - This US silver Peace Dollar was struck at the Denver Mint in 1922. The obverse features the head of Liberty in a radiate crown with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1922. The reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock inscribed PEACE, surrounded by the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. A D mint mark is impressed on the reverse, located at the lower left above the eagle's tail feathers near the rim. The coin is composed of 0.900 fine silver. The item is housed in a white cardboard 2x2 flip featuring handwritten notations in black ink reading 1922 D and Peace, with additional stock codes on the right side (photo 1). The coin exhibits original mint luster with light golden-brown peripheral toning (photos 1 and 2). Several small contact marks and bag marks are visible on Liberty's face and within the obverse fields (photo 1). The reverse displays light wear or a soft strike on the eagle's wing and tail feathers (photo 2). The rims appear generally sharp with no significant dings visible. The coin is raw and has not been graded by a third-party certification service.
