1922 US Peace Silver Dollar - A US Peace silver dollar minted in Philadelphia, composed of 0.900 fine silver. The obverse features the literal inscriptions LIBERTY along the upper rim, IN GOD WE TRVST across the center, and the date 1922 at the base. An impressed monogram consisting of the characters AF is visible at the truncation of the neck. The reverse bears the literal inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM at the top, ONE DOLLAR across the center, and PEACE at the base. No mint mark is present on the reverse. The surfaces exhibit variegated toning in amber, gold, and dark iridescent shades. Weight: 0.862 ozt. The coin exhibits light wear on the high points of the hair and the eagle feathers (photos 1 and 2). Minor surface contact marks and scattered hairlines are visible in the fields. A small rim nick is present on the obverse near the letter L (photo 1). The coin displays original surfaces with significant peripheral toning.
