FR 1918 Silver 50 Centimes Coin - A 1918 silver 50 Centimes coin from France struck in .835 fine silver. The obverse features the Sower design with the inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. The reverse displays the denomination 50 CENTIMES and the motto LIBERTE · EGALITE · FRATERNITE. The date 1918 at the bottom is flanked by a cornucopia mint mark to the left and a torch engraver mark to the right. The coin is housed in a 2x2 cardboard and Mylar flip bearing handwritten black ink notations reading 1918, XF, Silver, 15.-, and 50 Centimes. The coin exhibits an extremely fine grade. Toned surfaces are present with moderate wear visible on the high points of the hair and drapery on the obverse (Photo 4) and the olive leaves on the reverse (Photo 3). No significant scratches, rim dings, or other major impairments are observed.
