Mexican Taxco Sterling Silver and Turquoise Hinged Link Bracelet - A Mexican sterling silver hinged link bracelet featuring seven rectangular turquoise cabochons. The bracelet is composed of rectangular silver frames housing vibrant blue stones, alternating with curved, polished silver links. The segments are joined by a system of concealed hinges that allow the piece to articulate. The bracelet is secured with a tab-in-box clasp. An impressed mark located on the interior of the clasp link is arranged in three lines reading MEXICO, 925, and TJ-39. These marks verify the sterling silver content and indicate origin from a registered silversmith in Taxco. Length: 7.5 inches Weight: 2.176 ozt (67.68g). The polished silver surfaces show fine scratches and minor indentations throughout (Photo 2). Tarnish is present in the recessed areas around the hinges and stone settings (Photo 1). The turquoise cabochons exhibit natural dark matrix and minor surface wear but no visible cracks or significant chips (Photos 3 and 4). The hinged links move freely and the clasp is in functional condition.
