1954 Venezuela 25 Centimos Silver Coin - A struck 1954 silver circulation coin from the Republic of Venezuela with a denomination of 25 Centimos. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Simon Bolivar with the inscriptions BOLIVAR and LIBERTADOR. The name BARRE is impressed in small capital letters at the base of the neck, identifying the engraver Albert Desire Barre. The reverse displays the Venezuelan coat of arms at the center, surrounded by the legends REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA and 25 CENTIMOS - 1954 - GR. 1.25 LEI .835. The coin is struck in .835 fine silver and features a reeded edge. The piece is accompanied by a small plastic storage bag marked with the number 118 and a handwritten paper insert reading 1954 VENEZUELA BOLIVAR 25 CENTIMOS .835 silver VF 6. Weight: 1.25 grams (as indicated by the reverse legend). The coin is in circulated very fine condition. Fine surface scratches and light wear are visible across the high points of the portrait (photo 1) and the coat of arms (photo 2). Darker toning is present in the recessed areas of the design and along the denticulated rims. A small area of green oxidation is visible on the reverse rim near the weight specification (photo 2).
