1921-S US Morgan Silver Dollar - A 1921-S US Morgan silver dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty encircled by thirteen stars and the legend E PLURIBUS UNUM, with the date 1921 at the base. The reverse shows an eagle with outspread wings within a laurel wreath, with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. The motto In God we trust is inscribed in Gothic script above the eagle. A struck character S mint mark is visible on the reverse, centered above the DO in the word DOLLAR. The coin is presented in a white cardboard 2x2 flip with a clear plastic window. The flip bears a handwritten inscription in blue ink reading 1921 in the upper left corner and a vertical handwritten inscription in blue ink reading S/VE in the lower left corner. The coin shows high-point detail consistent with an uncirculated strike, including well-defined eagle breast feathers and strands of hair (photos 3, 4). Original mint luster remains present with a cartwheel effect. Both faces display peripheral golden-brown toning (photos 1, 2). A small, irregular white mark is visible on Liberty's cheek (photo 3). Scattered minor contact marks are present in the fields (photos 3, 4).
