Sterling Silver and Chrysoprase Modernist Statement Ring - A modernist statement ring featuring a large high-domed oval cabochon of translucent vibrant green stone. The stone is secured in a sterling silver bezel setting mounted to a rectangular backplate with a wide flat band. The interior of the band bears several impressed marks. To the left is a stylized shield-shaped punch. Following this is a row of three smaller marks consisting of an impressed rectangle containing characters that are not legible, an impressed oval reading 925, and a small circular punch with an illegible single character. The 925 mark confirms the metal is sterling silver. Weight: 0.687 ozt Ring Size: US 7 Overall Length: Approximately 1.25 inches. Significant tarnish and a dark patina are visible across the silver setting and band (Photos 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10). Light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with age and use are present on the silver metal and the face of the stone (Photos 1, 2, 5, and 6). The stone remains secure within the bezel setting.
