1934 NZ Silver Sixpence KM# 2 - A 1934 NZ silver sixpence, cataloged as KM# 2. The obverse features the crowned bust of King George V with the legend GEORGE V KING EMPEROR. The reverse displays a huia bird, with the legends NEW • ZEALAND and SIXPENCE • 1934. The coin is composed of 0.500 fine silver. The coin is in circulated condition, showing moderate wear on the high points of the crown on the obverse (photo 2) and the bird's feathers on the reverse (photo 1). It displays a dark grey-brown patina. Green verdigris corrosion is visible in the recesses of the branch and the bird's feet (photo 1) and within the portrait crown (photo 2).
