1942 Dominican Republic Silver 10 Centavos Coin - A 1942 Dominican Republic 10 Centavos silver coin. The obverse features the Liberty head design with the word LIBERTAD readable on the cap. The legends 10 CENTAVOS, 2½ GRAMOS, and the date 1942 are inscribed around the periphery. The reverse displays the Dominican Republic coat of arms design. An upper ribbon is inscribed DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD and a lower ribbon is inscribed REPUBLICA DOMINICANA. The coin is struck in .900 fine silver and features a reeded edge. The coin is in circulated condition with moderate wear on the high points of the Liberty head obverse and the coat of arms reverse (Photo 1, 2). A significant rim nick/dent is visible at the 6 o'clock position on the reverse (Photo 2). There are various small surface scratches and uneven toning present across both faces (Photo 1, 3).
