Vintage Gold-Toned Dragonfly Brooch with Black Cabochon - A vintage figural brooch in the form of a dragonfly, constructed from gold-toned metal. The central body features a large black oval cabochon, appearing to be glass or onyx. The design incorporates four wings with textured detailing and a curved, segmented tail. The head is finished with two curved antennae. The reverse is fitted with a pin stem and a revolving safety C-clasp mechanism. No maker marks, hallmarks, or signatures are visible on any surface of the item. A small amount of yellow residue is present on the center of the reverse. Length: 2 inches Width: 1.75 inches. The item exhibits moderate surface wear and a dark patina, particularly in the textured areas of the wings and across the reverse (photos 3 and 4). A small area of yellow residue, possibly old adhesive, is visible on the back of the piece (photo 3). The black cabochon is secure in its setting and shows minor surface scuffing and dust (photo 1). The antennae are slightly asymmetrical in their positioning (photo 2). The pin mechanism is in working order.
