1945 CO 20 Centavos Silver Coin - A 1945 Colombian 20 centavos silver coin struck at the Bogota mint. The obverse is struck with the legend REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA and the date 1945. The reverse features the denomination 20 CENTAVOS and a B mint mark. The coin is composed of .500 fine silver. It is housed in a white cardboard coin flip featuring handwritten notations in black ink reading 1945, VF, 5 silver, 14,-, Colombia, and 20 Centavos. The coin is in very fine condition as noted on the flip. Moderate wear is visible on the high relief areas of the design (photos 3, 4). Surfaces show a dull grey patina with localized dark toning in the recessed legends and design elements (photos 1, 4). All legends, the date, and the mint mark are legible. The cardboard holder shows minor handling wear and ink markings (photos 1, 2).
