Sterling Silver Italian Snake Chain Necklace with Reversible Rectangular Southwest Motif Pendant - An Italian sterling silver snake chain necklace supporting a reversible rectangular pendant. One face of the pendant features a raised central hand silhouette surrounded by openwork symbols including smaller hands, a spiral, lightning bolts, and triangles. The reverse face contains a flush-set rectangular black stone inlay. The necklace is fitted with a lobster claw clasp. The chain end caps bear an impressed mark reading 925 and ITALY (photo 5). The lobster claw clasp is impressed with 925 (photo 5). No markings or maker's signatures are visible on the pendant. The silver surfaces exhibit dark tarnish and heavy patina, most notably in the recessed details of the pendant face and around the clasp assembly (photos 2, 5).
