Bulova Caliber 17AH Seventeen Jewel Pocket Watch Movement and Dial - This lot features a mid-20th-century Bulova pocket watch movement and dial assembly. The silver-tone dial is finished with a vertical brush pattern and features applied gold-tone Arabic numerals at the 12, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10 o'clock positions, with gold-tone baton indices for the remaining hours. A recessed sub-seconds register is located at the 6 o'clock position, featuring a concentric guilloché pattern and printed markers for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 seconds. The set includes gold-tone hour, minute, and sub-seconds hands. The movement is a manual-wind, 17-jewel Bulova Caliber 17AH. The bridge and plates are stamped with BULOVA WATCH CO, 17AH, SEVENTEEN JEWELS, SWISS, UNADJUSTED, and the BXW import code. A small numerical 47 is stamped on the base plate. The dial is signed BULOVA below the 12 o'clock position and SWISS at the bottom edge. The regulator bridge features S F and R A scales. Diameter: 1.5 inches (38 mm). The item consists of an un-cased movement and dial assembly without a case, stem, or crown; a short stem stub remains. The dial shows significant signs of age and wear, including heavy surface scratching, spotting (foxing), and loss of finish around the perimeter. The gold-tone hands exhibit minor surface oxidation. While the movement appears physically intact and clean, the mechanical working status is untested.
