Imperial Ladies Gold Filled Manual Wind Mesh Bracelet Wristwatch - This antique ladies' transitional wristwatch features a circular gold-filled case and an ornate gold-filled mesh bracelet. The aged gold-tone dial is signed Imperial in stylized script and features a railway minute track with black Arabic numerals. It retains its original blued steel spade-style hour and minute hands under a domed crystal. The timepiece is powered by a Swiss-made manual wind movement manufactured by the Buren Watch Company, marked 15 Jewels, 3 Adjmt, and Buren W. Co. The interior of the hinged case back is stamped B & B Royal, a mark of the Bates & Bacon company, along with serial number 150624 and a hand-scribed watchmaker's mark 8192. The gold-filled mesh bracelet is stamped B & N 1-10 on the clasp interior for manufacturer Bugbee & Niles and includes an engraved floral clasp with a safety chain. Case diameter: 26 mm (1.02 inches). The watch is in running condition. The exterior shows significant signs of age and wear, including heavy brassing to the gold-filled finish on the bezel and case edges where the base metal is exposed. The dial has developed a heavy, uneven patina with some degradation to the black markings. The crystal exhibits multiple deep surface scratches. The mesh bracelet shows minor distortion to the links near the lugs and general wear to the gold finish. Mechanical timekeeping accuracy has not been tested.
