Omega Geneve Electronic f300Hz Chronometer Reference 198.030 Service Award Wristwatch - A vintage Omega Geneve Electronic f300Hz Chronometer wristwatch, corresponding to reference 198.030. The timepiece features a gold-plated C-shape case with a stainless steel screw-down case back. The gold-tone sunburst dial is designed with applied gold-tone baton hour markers, a date aperture at the 3 o clock position, and a red trapezoidal logo containing the Omega symbol. It is equipped with an electronic tuning fork movement with a frequency of 300 Hz. The case back features a commemorative engraving for L. J. Laney for 25 years of service at New York Telephone in 1973. The watch is mounted on an aftermarket JB Champion expansion bracelet featuring 1/20 10kt gold-filled tops and stainless steel backs. This movement needs a battery for operation. Case width: 37mm excluding crown. The case shows significant aesthetic wear throughout, including scuffing, surface scratches, and visible brassing to the gold-plated finish, particularly on the edges and lugs. The acrylic crystal exhibits numerous fine and moderate surface scratches. The dial appears in good condition with minor signs of age, while the hands show light oxidation and tarnish. The aftermarket expansion band is in worn condition with visible stretching and accumulated debris between the links. The movement is untested and requires a new battery to determine functionality.
