Victorian Gold Filled Albertina Pocket Watch Fob - This Victorian gold filled Albertina pocket watch fob features a double-strand construction consisting of a cable link chain and a fine woven wheat-link chain. The strands are joined by a small, decorative clover-shaped plaque with incised markings. The piece is fitted with a twisted T-bar at one terminal and a swivel lobster-style clasp at the other. Suspended from the chains are two decorative fob charms including a spherical orb and an acorn-shaped drop, both finished with raised circular bosses and textured filigree-style details. No purity stamps or maker marks are legible on the piece. Length: 6.5 inches. The fob shows significant signs of age and wear. There is heavy tarnish and surface corrosion throughout, including visible green oxidation on the fob charms. Substantial loss of the gold-filled finish is evident on the charms, clasp, and links, revealing the darker base metal beneath.
