The black dial is designed with a textured center panel featuring a gold tone Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Maltese cross emblem. It includes a gold tone Roman numeral XII at the 12 o'clock position, stick indices, and a date window at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is marked MOV'T JAPAN 7N32-0FF8 HR 2. The case back is engraved with HONOR-SACRIFICE-SERVICE, 2008-2009, Glen M. Gardner, Jr., Commander-in-Chief, SEIKO, WATER RESISTANT, ST. STEEL, 7N32-0DG0 [R2], MOVEMENT JAPAN, and serial number 703518. The integrated bracelet features a folding deployment clasp marked SEIKO on the exterior and STAINLESS STEEL-C BAND CHINA on the interior. End links are stamped 35Y8-E-I. The quartz movement needs a battery. Case width: 1 1/8 inches Case height: 1 1/2 inches. The watch shows significant signs of wear and age. There is widespread plating loss and rubbing on the case edges, bracelet links, and clasp, exposing the underlying base metal. The crystal displays numerous fine surface scratches and a visible scuff near the 2 o'clock marker. The quartz movement is currently non-functional and needs a battery. The bracelet clasp functions correctly.
