The grouping includes a Gruen movement marked for K. Krause, Syracuse, N.Y., featuring a safety pinion and serial number 127515. A Seth Thomas Centennial movement from Thomaston, Conn., is present, featuring 7 jewels, a safety pinion, serial number 3293574, and a decorative striped bridge finish. The lot also contains a Swiss N. Robert movement with serial number 627748 and circular graining. A Hampden Watch Co. movement from Canton, Ohio, features elaborate scroll and shell engraving, a safety pinion, and serial number 1814217. A small unmarked movement is included with serial number 44303. Also present is a Croton Watch Co. Inc. Swiss movement, caliber AVA 1021, seventeen 17 jewels, unadjusted. The collection is completed by a Normal brand Swiss movement marked Hirsch with 7 jewels and 2 adjustments. Dials are constructed of white enamel with various Roman and Arabic numeral configurations. Components are composed of various metals; user indicates needs battery. Gruen: 1.6 inches diameter Seth Thomas: 1.75 inches diameter N. Significant condition issues present across the lot, including large chips, losses, and radiating hairline cracks to the enamel dials, most notably on the Gruen, Seth Thomas, and Hampden pieces. Movements exhibit visible surface oxidation, tarnish, and green verdigris. Items are missing various components including cases, crowns, stems, and hands. Functionality has not been tested.
