Garland Art Deco 6 Jewel Swiss Ladies Wristwatch, Napoleon Case - A vintage Garland Art Deco ladies wristwatch. The timepiece features a manual wind Swiss movement signed by Norris, Alister-Ball-Bridges Co. and Garland, containing six jewels and adjusted to two positions. The tonneau-shaped white metal case is manufactured by the Illinois Watch Case Co. under the Napoleon trade name, featuring elaborate hand-engraved floral and geometric patterns on the bezel and sides. The inner case back is stamped Napoleon, J.W.C.Co., and serial number 8213110. The gold-tone dial displays black Arabic numerals, a central rectangular section with vertical pinstripes, and decorative scrollwork at the top and bottom, marked Garland and Swiss. The watch is designed with fixed wire lugs and a winding crown set with a dark blue cabochon. Case Size: 32mm length (including lugs) by 15mm width (excluding crown). The watch does not run. The dial shows significant age-related wear, including heavy oxidation, spotting, and overall discoloration. The crystal exhibits yellowing and surface scratches. The case back shows numerous surface scratches and minor wear to the finish. The engraved detailing on the front and sides remains relatively sharp. The movement shows visible surface oxidation and tarnish. The original strap is missing.
