The movement is a Grade 7, Model 2, featuring 7 jewels and a key-wind, key-set mechanism. The movement is inscribed in script with Elgin Nat'l Watch Co., Safety Pinion, and Elgin Ill., and is stamped with serial number 2850715. The white porcelain dial is printed with black Roman numeral hour markers, a sunken sub-seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and the maker's name. The case is constructed from Silverine, a non-precious nickel-silver alloy produced by Dueber, and is marked in the interior with the manufacturer's pennant logos and serial number 1332674. This lot includes a metal ball chain and a T-bar watch key for winding and setting. The timepiece needs professional assessment for mechanical integrity. Case diameter: 2.25 inches. The case displays significant surface scratching, oxidation, and generalized wear consistent with age and heavy use. The porcelain dial is heavily soiled with surface spotting and dirt throughout. The blued steel minute hand is slightly bent. The glass crystal exhibits surface scratches and internal dust. The movement appears complete; however, the working status is unknown and it has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy. The watch needs service.
