The 18-size movement features a manual wind, 7-jewel configuration with a safety pinion, movement serial number 16918903. The white dial is marked WALTHAM and displays black Arabic numerals, a red outer minute track, and a recessed sub-seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position. Three black-finished hands are present. The gilded movement is engraved with decorative script reading American Waltham Watch Co. and SAFETY PINION. The watch is housed in a nickel silver case manufactured by the Illinois Watch Case Co. The interior case back is stamped with a circular logo for Nickel Illinois Watch Case Co. Silver and the case serial number 587315. The case features a knurled crown and bow with coin-edged detailing on the bezel and back. Case diameter: 2 inches. Poor condition; sold as-is for parts or restoration. The crystal is missing. The dial exhibits heavy foxing and brown staining across the entire surface. The case shows significant surface wear, oxidation, tarnish, and scratches. Hands show visible surface oxidation. The movement appears complete but shows accumulation of dust and minor oxidation; functionality is untested.
