Jules Jurgensen Ladies Gold Tone Quartz Day Date Wristwatch Reference 3248 - A vintage Jules Jurgensen ladies' wristwatch featuring a champagne-tone dial with gold-tone baton hour markers and a crown logo at the 12 o'clock position. The dial is printed with Jules Jurgensen, Since 1740, and Quartz, with Japan 2005 marked at the lower edge. A day-date complication is situated at 3 o'clock, currently displaying the day in Spanish (VIER) and the date (2). The watch is constructed with a gold-tone base metal bezel and a stainless steel case back. The case back is stamped with a JJ shield logo and circular inscriptions reading STAINLESS STEEL BACK, 3248, BASE METAL BEZEL, and WATER RESISTANT. The watch is attached to a gold-tone stainless steel expansion bracelet. The interior of the bracelet is stamped HONG KONG and STAINLESS STEEL, with end links marked 602. Case Diameter: Approx. 24 mm Lug Width: Approx. 12 mm. This timepiece is in fair cosmetic condition. There is significant and widespread wear to the gold-tone plating on the bezel, case, crown, and bracelet links, showing the base metal underneath. The crystal has multiple fine surface scratches. There is visible accumulated surface grime and oxidation in the crevices of the case and between the expansion links. The quartz movement is currently untested and likely requires a battery replacement.
