Two Vintage American Wristwatches Including Waltham Centennial 100 Jewel and Elgin Art Deco - This lot features two vintage American-market wristwatches. The first is a Waltham 100 Centennial Series men's automatic wristwatch. The timepiece features a 10 karat gold filled case manufactured by Ross, characterized by a textured gold-tone linen dial with applied indices and dauphine hands. The dial is marked Waltham 100 and Self-Winding Shockproof with Swiss at the six o'clock position. The case back is stamped 10K G.F. - ROSS and the lug is marked 10K G.F. TOP CAPS. It is mounted on a gold-tone Speidel expansion bracelet. This watch includes its original gray Waltham Centennial presentation box with an embossed eagle, an original 100 Jewels promotional tag, and a vintage price tag indicating a retail price of 175 dollars including federal tax. The second item is a ladies' Elgin manual wind wristwatch in a tonneau-style case. The case is constructed of 14 karat white gold filled material, marked as cased and timed by the Elgin National Watch Co. and manufactured by the Star Case Company. The silver-tone dial features central filigree scrollwork and Arabic numerals. The movement is marked 15 Jewels, Elgin U.S.A., serial number 33234853.
