Vintage F.A. Hirsch and Co 15 Jewel 14K Gold Filled Art Deco Ladies Wristwatch - A vintage ladies manual wind wristwatch featuring a 15-jewel mechanical movement by F.A. Hirsch and Co. The watch is housed in an ornate hexagonal 14 karat white gold-filled case manufactured by the Diel Watch Case Company. The case exhibits elaborate floral and foliate engraving on the bezel and reverse, with a repeating chevron pattern along the sides. A blue cabochon sapphire is set into the winding crown. The watch is designed with fixed wire lugs for a ribbon or cord strap. The gold-tone dial features a concentric engine-turned circular texture in the center, surrounded by black Arabic numerals and a railway minute track. The movement is marked F.A. HIRSCH and CO. SWISS, 15 JEWELS, and 2 ADJ. The inside of the case back is stamped DIEL W.C.CO. WARRANTED 25 YEARS 14K GOLD FILLED DOUBLE STOCK. This timepiece does not run. Case width: approximately 26 mm. The watch is in fair vintage condition and suitable for restoration. The crystal is missing, resulting in dust accumulation and spotting on the dial surface. The blued steel hands show signs of oxidation. The case exhibits light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age. The mechanical movement is complete but does not run and requires professional servicing.
