Antique Swiss 0.800 Silver and Galonne Open Face Pocket Watch - An unbranded Swiss open-face pocket watch featuring a 0.800 silver case with gold-toned galonne accents. The outer case back is intricately engraved with a central rectangular reserve depicting a gabled building, surrounded by scrolled floral and foliate motifs. The interior of the case back is stamped with the SWISS designation, a 0.800 shield silver hallmark, and the Swiss grouse mark. The case is numbered 6004 over 2. The white enamel dial is set with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer track of red Arabic numerals for minutes at five-minute intervals. The bridge-style manual wind movement is marked with a regulator scale for S/R and F/A (Slow/Retard and Fast/Avance). The piece features a fluted gold-toned crown and a standard circular suspension ring. Case diameter: Approximately 1.25 inches (32 mm). The watch does not run. The enamel dial exhibits severe damage including multiple cracks, hairlines, and material loss centered around the arbor. The crystal is extensively fractured and damaged across the entire surface. The case shows significant tarnish, patina, and wear to the gold-toned galonne plating on the bezel and case edges. The movement displays age-related surface oxidation and is untested for functionality.
