Vintage Benrus Model AR15 Tonneau Wristwatch 17 Jewels Does Not Run - This vintage Benrus wristwatch features a tonneau-shaped case in yellow gold-toned metal. The timepiece is powered by a manual wind, 17-jewel Swiss-made movement identified as Model AR 15, which bears the CXW US import code. The dial has an off-white finish with a heavy aged patina and features applied gold-toned markers, including Roman numerals at the XII, III, and IX positions. A circular sub-seconds register is positioned at the VI o'clock mark. The interior case back is stamped with the serial number 180642 and contains several hand-etched watchmaker service marks. The exterior case back is hand-engraved with script letters appearing as R N Y Y. The watch is fitted to a tan leather strap with contrast stitching, marked JAZ PARIS on the interior. Width: 25 mm (excluding crown) Length: 38 mm (including lugs). The watch does not run and is offered in non-functional condition. The dial exhibits heavy patination and dark oxidation spots throughout. The gold-toned hands show surface corrosion and rust. The case displays significant wear to the gold finish with the base metal visible on the lugs and sharp edges. Numerous scratches are present on the acrylic crystal and the metal surfaces of the case. The leather strap shows extensive wear and fraying at the lugs.
