Vintage Bulova Art Deco 10K Rolled Gold Plate Manual Wind Wristwatch Caliber 10AE - A vintage Bulova Art Deco manual wind wristwatch. The timepiece features a tonneau-shaped stepped case with decorative scrollwork engraving along the bezel and lugs. The case is constructed of 10K rolled white gold plate. The aged cream dial displays applied gold-tone numerals and hour markers with a rectangular sub-seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position. The internal 17-jewel movement is marked Bulova Watch Co., Adjusted, USA, and caliber 10AE. The inner case back is stamped Bulova, Fifth Ave, New York and contains the hand-etched reference 5771. The outer case back is stamped B-10K Rolled Gold Plate and serial number 8065697. The watch runs. Case width: 25.5mm Case length lug-to-lug: 38mm. The watch exhibits significant signs of age and wear. The 10K rolled gold plate case shows surface scratches, scuffs, and visible wear-through (brassing) to the base metal on the high edges, corners, and lugs. The crystal is heavily scratched and scuffed, significantly obscuring the dial. The dial itself is heavily oxidized with extensive mottling and patina. The movement is reported to be in running condition; however, it has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy or power reserve, and professional servicing is recommended. The original strap is missing; spring bars and tubes are present. The crown shows smoothing from use.
