Vintage 1974 Caravelle Transistorized Men's Wristwatch - Caravelle Transistorized men's wristwatch, reference N4, manufactured by Bulova in 1974. The timepiece features an early electronic transistorized movement housed in a square-profile gold-tone base metal case with a stainless steel back. The aged off-white dial displays applied gold-tone baton markers and Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions. Dial markings include CARAVELLE and WATERPROOF. The case back is stamped with CARAVELLE TRANSISTORIZED BASE METAL BEZEL STAINLESS STEEL BACK N4 WATER RESISTANT. A central presentation engraving reads C.J.S. Life Member M.G.F.D. 1975. The watch is fitted with a gold-tone Speidel USA expansion bracelet. Case width: 38 mm (approximately 1.5 inches). Poor, non-running condition. The watch needs a crown, which is currently missing, though the stem remains visible within the recessed case opening. The gold-tone finish on the case and bracelet exhibits heavy wear, pitting, and brassing where the base metal is visible. The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and clouded. The dial shows significant patina, aging, and signs of moisture exposure around the perimeter. Sold for parts or restoration.
