Vintage Timex Q Quartz Red Nebula Day-Date Wristwatch Head - This lot consists of a vintage Timex Q Quartz wristwatch head, identified through web consensus as the Red Nebula model dating to circa 1978. The watch features a marbled spider dial in shades of deep red and black. The dial is set with applied silver-tone baton hour markers and a day-date aperture at the 3 o'clock position. Dial markings include a stylized Q logo over the Timex brand name, with Quartz printed toward the bottom and Taiwan at the lower edge. The case is round and constructed from stainless steel with integrated lugs. The case back features a prominent battery hatch marked Timex Cell with triangular directional indicators for open and close. The perimeter of the case back is stamped Water Resistant and Stainless Steel Case. This lot includes the watch head only; no strap or bracelet is present. This watch does not run. Diameter excluding crown: 1.5 inches (approximately 38 mm). The watch is in poor, uncleaned condition and is currently non-functional. The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and scuffed across its entire surface. The stainless steel case exhibits numerous fine scratches and significant accumulation of dirt and grime, particularly between the lugs and around the case back. The battery hatch shows tool marks from previous opening attempts. Sold as-is for parts or restoration.
