Vintage Seiko 5 Automatic 6119-7103 Stainless Steel Wristwatch November 1970 Runs - Seiko 5 Automatic wristwatch, reference 6119-7103, produced in November 1970. The timepiece features a stainless steel cushion-shaped case with a matching multi-row link bracelet and folding clasp. The silver sunburst dial is accented with applied baton hour indices and a day and date aperture at the 3 o'clock position. It is powered by a caliber 6119 automatic movement with 21 jewels and is in running condition. Markings on the dial include the SEIKO name, the 5 shield logo, AUTOMATIC 21 JEWELS, and the Suwa Seikosha factory symbol. The dial is also marked JAPAN 6119-7200R at the bottom edge. The screw-down case back is stamped STAINLESS STEEL 6119-7103 WATER RESISTANT with the serial number 0N1517 and the origin mark JAPAN J. Case width: 38mm; Lug-to-lug: 40mm. The watch is in well-used vintage condition. The crystal displays significant surface scratching and scuffing throughout, particularly across the center. The stainless steel case and bracelet show heavy wear with numerous scratches, abrasions, and minor dings consistent with age and regular use. There is substantial accumulation of dirt and grime around the case back seal, lugs, and between bracelet links. One visible spring bar shows heavy oxidation and corrosion. While in running condition, a mechanical service is recommended given the visible external condition and age.
