Elgin DuraPower 10K RGP Rectangular Men's Wristwatch Does Not Run - A mid-century vintage Elgin DuraPower manual wind mechanical wristwatch. The timepiece features a rectangular tank style case with decorative stepped lugs. The case construction consists of a 10 karat rolled gold plate bezel and a stainless steel back. The cream-toned dial is detailed with applied gold-tone hour markers, a stylized number 12, and horizontal bar markers at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. A rectangular sub-seconds dial is located at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is marked with the Elgin name and the DuraPower dp logo, which represents the manufacturer's historical use of an unbreakable mainspring. The watch is paired with a gold-tone Speidel expansion bracelet. This movement does not run and will require service or repair. Width: 25 mm (excluding crown) Length: 38 mm (lug to lug). The watch is in fair vintage condition with signs of substantial wear and age. The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and exhibits surface crazing throughout. There is noticeable brassing and wear to the gold plating, particularly on the edges of the bezel and the corners of the lugs. The dial has developed an even stardust patina with fine spotting. The Speidel expansion band shows surface wear and accumulated debris between the links. The movement is non-functional and does not run.
