Waltham 15 Jewel Cushion Case Manual Wind Wristwatch with Porcelain Dial - A vintage Waltham manual wind wristwatch featuring a cushion-shaped silver-tone metal case. The interior of the case back is stamped with SCEPTER inside a lozenge-shaped frame and the serial number 8962129. The white porcelain dial is designed with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer minute track featuring red Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals. A recessed sub-seconds register is located at the 6 o'clock position. The mechanical 15-jewel movement is inscribed A.W.W.CO. WALTHAM, MASS. and bears the serial number 26622111, dating the movement to approximately 1928. The watch features blued steel hour and minute hands and is mounted on a black leather strap with a silver-tone pin buckle. This timepiece does not run and needs a second hand. Case Width: 1.1 inches (28mm) excluding crown Case Length: 1.25 inches (32mm) lug-to-lug. The watch is in non-running condition and is missing the sub-seconds hand. The porcelain dial exhibits multiple visible hairline cracks, most notably across the center and through the 10 o'clock position, along with a significant chip at the edge of the sub-seconds dial near the 10-second mark. The blued steel hands show surface oxidation. The silver-tone case displays significant surface wear, scratching, and tarnish, with green verdigris corrosion visible on the interior rim. The acrylic crystal has light surface scratches throughout. The black leather strap shows visible wear and creasing from use.
