Alcide Droz and Cie St-Imier Swiss Pocket Watch Movement and Enamel Dial - Late 19th-century Swiss pocket watch movement and porcelain enamel dial produced by Alcide Droz and Cie of St-Imier. The white enamel dial features black Roman hour numerals and an outer track with Arabic numerals for minutes in five-minute increments. A recessed sub-seconds dial is located at the 6 o'clock position with Arabic numerals. The center of the dial is inscribed with Patent app'd for in script. The mechanical, manual-wind, Swiss lever movement features a bridge-plate design and is engraved Alcide Cie Droz St-Imier. The movement includes the balance wheel and escapement assembly. Dial diameter: 1 3/4 inches (44 mm). Non-functional, sold for parts or restoration. The enamel dial exhibits multiple chips along the outer edge, specifically at the 12, 1, 2, 4, 6, and 11 o'clock positions, along with several faint hairline cracks across the surface. The movement shows significant oxidation and surface rust on steel components, including the winding gears, click, and various screw heads. The assembly is missing the original case, hands, and winding stem.
