Vintage Elgin Cushion Case Manual Wind Wristwatch - This vintage Elgin manual wind wristwatch features a cushion-shaped base metal case manufactured by the Star Watch Case Company. The dial is finished in an aged cream color with Arabic numeral hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial located at the 6 o'clock position. The manual wind movement is marked Elgin U.S.A. and is stamped with serial number 30011796. The interior of the case back displays the Star Watch Case Company hallmark with a central star symbol, the size designation 3/0, and serial number 2824268. The exterior of the case back is stamped BASE METAL. This timepiece does not run and is offered without a strap. Case size: 29mm width excluding crown; 35mm lug-to-lug. The case exhibits significant wear to the plating, with base metal visible on the edges and lugs. Multiple scratches and scuffs are present throughout the case and crystal. The dial shows heavy spotting, yellowing, and patina consistent with age. The hands show visible oxidation.
