A Group of Vintage Lionel and Marx Model Trains and Trolleys - An assortment of vintage model rail and transit pieces manufactured by Lionel and Marx. The group includes a Marx New York Central 723 steam locomotive constructed from lithographed tinplate, featuring a manual wind-up mechanism with a protruding side lever. The collection further includes several Lionel O/O-27 gauge pieces: a No. 60 Lionelville Rapid Transit bumper trolley in yellow and red plastic with a single metal trolley pole; a Christmas Carolers Express bumper trolley in green and gold plastic with dual black trolley poles and lithographed passenger silhouettes; and a No. 520 electric boxstock locomotive in red plastic with Lionel Lines markings. Also included is a black plastic Pennsylvania Railroad coal tender featuring a molded coal load and yellow lettering. All Lionel items feature plastic bodies with metal chassis components, while the Marx locomotive is composed of folded tinplate. Items are offered in as-is vintage condition. The Marx tinplate locomotive exhibits significant play wear, including paint loss, surface scratches, and visible surface oxidation on the front boiler plate. The Lionel plastic-bodied items show more moderate signs of age, including surface dust and minor play wear to the decals and paint. All mechanical and electrical components, including the Marx wind-up mechanism and Lionel electric motors, are untested. No original boxes are present.
