Bidspirit auction | A Trio of Pennsylvania Railroad

A Trio of Pennsylvania Railroad O-Gauge Passenger Cars - A trio of O-gauge model train passenger cars in the livery of the Pennsylvania Railroad, attributed to Lionel. The lot includes three distinct car types: a Railway Post Office (RPO) car numbered 9510 and marked United States Mail Railway Post Office, a passenger coach named Washington Circle and numbered 9515, and a baggage car numbered 16022. Each car features an injection-molded plastic body finished in classic tuscan red with a black roof and gold-tone lettering. The cars are equipped with two-wheel plastic trucks, metal wheels and axles, and plastic knuckle couplers. The coach and RPO cars are designed with frosted window inserts. Metal pickup rollers are visible on the undersides of the cars, indicating they are equipped for interior lighting. The cars are in good used condition with minor surface wear and dust consistent with age and play. The paint and gold-tone lettering remain clear and well-preserved. Metal wheels show standard signs of operational use. Yellow price stickers with handwritten ink are present on the undersides of two cars. The interior lighting functionality has not been tested.
