A Pair of Lionel Lines O Gauge Steam Locomotive Tenders - This lot features two vintage O gauge steam locomotive tenders manufactured by Lionel. The first tender is constructed of die-cast metal and features white serif-style lettering on the sides reading Lionel Lines. This model is equipped with applied metal handrails, rear ladders, two four-wheel trucks, and a rear knuckle-style coupler. The second tender is constructed of molded black plastic with white sans-serif block lettering reading Lionel Lines. It features molded-in detailing representing coal and rivets, two four-wheel trucks, and a metal drawbar for attachment to a locomotive. Both units include simulated coal loads and are finished in black. Both tenders are in used condition consistent with age. The die-cast metal tender shows significant paint loss and wear to the white lettering, particularly the L and I on the side. The molded plastic tender shows minor surface scuffing and play wear. Both items exhibit accumulated dust from storage. Neither unit has been tested for mechanical functionality or the operation of internal whistle mechanisms. No original boxes or packaging are included.
