Three Lionel Postwar O-Gauge Motorized Locomotives Numbers 41, 520, and 53 - This lot features three Lionel O-gauge motorized locomotives from the postwar era. The first unit is a No. 41 United States Army Transportation Corps diesel-style switcher. It features a black molded plastic body on a die-cast metal chassis and wheels. Markings include the number 41, the Transportation Corps ship wheel logo, and United States Army text in white. The second unit is a No. 520 Lionel Lines electric-style boxcab locomotive. It consists of a red molded plastic body on a die-cast metal chassis with a single metal pantograph mounted to the roof. Text includes 520, Lionel Lines, New 9-56, and Built by Lionel. The third unit is a No. 53 Rio Grande snowplow switcher. The locomotive is constructed with a black and yellow molded plastic body on a die-cast metal chassis. It features a front-mounted yellow snowplow, a decorative bell, and is marked with stylized Rio Grande script and the number 53. All units are designed for operation on O-gauge three-rail track systems. All three locomotives exhibit signs of play-wear and age, including dust accumulation in crevices. The No. 41 switcher appears intact with original railings and horn. The No. 520 boxcab shows minor surface wear; the metal pantograph is present and intact. The No. 53 Rio Grande switcher shows moderate wear, with visible paint loss on the yellow-painted metal railings and edges of the snowplow. Mechanical and electrical components are untested for operational status. No original boxes or packaging are included.
