Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Lionel O-Gauge

A Pair of Lionel O-Gauge Santa Fe F3 Diesel Locomotives - This lot features a composite pair of Lionel O-gauge Santa Fe F3 diesel locomotives finished in the iconic red, silver, and yellow Warbonnet livery. The set consists of one powered A-unit and one non-powered B-unit. The A-unit is a postwar model with number boards marked 2353, produced circa 1953-1955. It features a molded plastic shell, a die-cast metal frame, and die-cast metal two-axle trucks. Markings on the side include SANTA FE, a GM logo, and BUILT BY LIONEL. The cab roof is fitted with a silver-colored horn. The B-unit is a later production model from approximately 1977, marked with the road number 8777. It is constructed with a plastic shell on a die-cast metal chassis and trucks, featuring the Santa Fe winged cross logo and black block lettering. No original packaging is included. Both units show moderate signs of play wear. There are visible scuffs, scratches, and minor paint loss on the silver and red sections of the plastic shells. The silver finish on the 8777 B-unit displays noticeable thinning and surface wear. Minor surface oxidation is present on the metal couplers. The locomotives have not been tested for mechanical or electrical functionality and are sold in as-is condition.
