Lionel 6-9219 Missouri Pacific Eagle Animated Boxcar with Original Box - This is a Lionel O-gauge Missouri Pacific Eagle animated boxcar, model number 6-9219, produced during the Fundimensions era. The car features a plastic body with die-cast metal trucks and operating couplers. It is finished in a blue and silver livery with a yellow sliding door. Decorative markings on the car body include the Eagle script logo, the circular Missouri Pacific Lines emblem, and technical specifications such as EX W 10-7, H 14-6, CU FT 3458, and BLT 1-83 LIONEL. The car side is also marked M.P. 9219 and MERCH SER. As an animated model, the car is designed to have a figure appear in the doorway when operated over a specialized track section. The item is housed in its original orange and white cardboard window display box. The end label is printed with M. P. ANIMATED BOX CAR 6-9219 LIONEL ELECTRIC TRAINS. The box bottom is marked MADE AND LITHO IN U.S.A. and Copyright 1983 Fundimensions, Division of CPG Products Corp., Mount Clemens, Michigan 48045. A vintage retail price sticker of $29.95 is present on the front of the box. The boxcar appears to be in excellent, likely unused condition with crisp paint and sharp graphics. The original window box is intact, showing minor shelf wear consistent with age, including light scuffing and slight softening of the corners. The plastic display window is clear and remains securely attached. The mechanical animation function has not been tested.
