Lionel 6-18436 Dodge Ram New York Central Track Inspection Vehicle - This is a motorized O-gauge track inspection vehicle manufactured by Lionel LLC, model number 6-18436. The vehicle is modeled after a Dodge Ram 1500 V8 pickup truck with an attached bed cap, finished in a red color scheme with black trim. The truck features the New York Central System livery, including the NYC circular herald on the cab doors and the text NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM in yellow on the sides of the bed cap. The cab doors are also marked RAM 1500 V8 in white. The unit is designed for operation on O-gauge model railroad tracks and is equipped with a precision can-motor drive, an electronic reverse unit, and illuminated headlights and taillights. The construction consists primarily of die-cast metal with plastic components and rubber tires. The item is presented in its original orange and cream Lionel window box with protective internal plastic packaging. The bottom of the box is marked copyright 1996 Lionel LLC, Chesterfield, MI, and states the item was made in China. The vehicle appears to be in unused, New-In-Box condition. The item is complete as issued with internal plastic wrapping intact. The original window box is present and shows minor shelf wear to the edges and corners. A vintage orange retail price sticker is affixed to one end flap of the box.
