A Collection of Six Vintage Breweriana Advertising Salt and Pepper Shakers - This collection includes six vintage advertising salt and pepper shakers representing Midwestern regional breweries, several of which were established during the pre-prohibition era. The lot features a pair of figural gnomes molded in cream-colored plastic. Each figure is depicted holding a raised glass and a bottle, standing on a circular base embossed with the text Peerless Amber BEER LA CROSSE BREWERIES, INC. LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN. The assortment also contains two pairs of barrel-form shakers crafted from turned wood. One pair features silver-toned painted hoops and is incised with the text CHICAGO'S BEST GARDEN CITY BEER. The second pair of barrels is finished in a dark stain with black-painted hoops and bears the incised text Waldorf Lager. All pieces in this group retain their original cork stoppers at the base. Gnome figures: 5 inches in height Garden City barrels: 3 inches in height Waldorf Lager barrels: 2.75 inches in height. Good vintage condition. All pieces show light wear consistent with age, including minor surface scuffs on the plastic figures and thinning or wear to the silver and black paint on the wooden barrel hoops. No chips, cracks, or structural repairs are observed. All original cork stoppers are present.
