An Assortment of Vintage and Antique Edged Weapons Including British Military Kukri and German Novelty Dagger - An assortment of edged weapons of various historical and geographic origins. Included is a British military issue service kukri featuring a heavy forward-curving blade marked with a British broad arrow, the initials WSC, and a date possibly reading 1945. The hilt is constructed of carved hardwood with a raised central ring, two steel rivets, and a flat metal butt plate. A German novelty dagger is present, featuring a cast yellow-metal hilt depicting a nude female figure and an S-curved crossguard; the blade is stamped J. KORN, FORGED SOLINGEN STEEL, and MADE IN GERMANY. Also included is an ornate cast-hilt dagger with a triangular-section blade etched with floral scrollwork and an intricately patterned metal hilt. Another knife features a hilt terminating in a stylized animal head with white-metal pin inlays, attributed to the Philippines as a punal-style knife. The group is completed by several smaller kukris with dark wood hilts and circular white-metal inlays. Total lengths ranging from approximately 7.5 inches to 17 inches. The collection shows varying degrees of age-related wear. The large military kukri exhibits minor surface oxidation. The German novelty dagger and cast-hilt dagger show significant rust and surface pitting on the blades, along with finish loss on the hilts. The punal-style knife and smaller kukris exhibit heavy oxidation and surface rust across the blades. One small kukri hilt has a visible vertical crack. All items are without scabbards.
