Sally Patchin Hand Painted Woven Bamboo Basket - This Sally Patchin Hand Painted Basket is a square-to-round woven vessel constructed from split bamboo cane. The basket features four slightly tapered sides reinforced with broader bamboo slats at the corners and across the underside of the base. Each side is decorated with hand-painted motifs attributed to Sally Patchin, depicting a stylized central pagoda or tower flanked by green foliage, rendered in a palette of red, green, and yellow pigments. The thick, multi-strand rim is finished with black paint. The interior reveals the natural aged tone of the woven material. Top Diameter: 9 inches Height: 8 inches. The basket is in fair condition. There is significant and widespread paint loss and chipping across all hand-painted motifs on the body. The black paint on the rim shows heavy wear and loss of finish, revealing the underlying material in several areas.
