Antique Tramp Art Pyramid Footed Jewelry Box, c. 1890 - This antique Tramp Art jewelry or trinket box, dating to circa 1890, is constructed from multiple layers of notch-carved wood. The exterior features a complex, textured geometric surface characteristic of the style. The box is designed with a central pyramidal lid flanked by two smaller raised sections, all supported by a tiered, square pedestal base. The interior is unfinished, revealing the wooden construction, small nails, and metal hinges. A small metal latch is present on the front interior edge. A white paper label on the underside of the base bears the handwritten word HONEYMOON. 10 inches width x 6.5 inches height. Fair condition. There is a significant horizontal loss of the carved decoration on the front face. Minor separations are visible in the wood layers. The piece shows significant accumulated dust throughout the crevices.
