1875-S US Seated Liberty Silver Half Dollar - This US Seated Liberty silver half dollar was struck in 1875 at the San Francisco Mint. The obverse features the Seated Liberty design, and the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a scroll. An S mint mark is located on the reverse above the denomination HALF DOL. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. A post-mint hole has been drilled through the coin at the 12 o'clock position on the obverse, appearing at the 6 o'clock position on the reverse. Weight: 0.400 ozt. The coin exhibits significant circulation wear consistent with a Good to Very Good grade, with major design elements flattened. It is technically impaired due to the post-mint puncture (holed). Surfaces show numerous small scratches and typical abrasions from circulation.
