1923 US Peace Silver Dollar - This 1923 US Peace silver dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a radiate crown, while the reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock. This specific specimen exhibits a heavy, irregular yellow or gold-colored surface residue or plating applied to the obverse, primarily over the hair, crown, and neck of the Liberty figure. No mint mark is visible on the reverse below the word ONE. Weight: 0.860 ozt. Circulated and graded as fine based on visible wear. The coin shows substantial wear to the high points of the design, including the hair and eagle feathers. The surfaces have been significantly compromised by a post-mint gold-toned application on the obverse. There are multiple contact marks, small scratches, and signs of harsh cleaning present on both faces.
